Flower and plant stems and cabbage

I shredded mine as the stems were quite woody. Temp shot up to 65 and stayed there for over a week. Apart from a temporary cabbagy smell it worked well.

My husband is very worried about putting brassicas in the hotbin as he would not usually cold compost them at all. Can anyone reassure him? Also i am wondering of the leaves from narcissi etc when they have finished would be classed as easy composting material? They are green and fresh. Any thoughts? Thanks so much for being here forum members!
