Hello to all. I have had a hotbin for 3 1/2 years and very happy with it. I have always had a little difficulty in keeping it hot through the winter as there is no grass clippings to help. I have been making sourdough bread this last year, and as I have to remove some of the sourdough starter (mother) each day to feed it, I put this into the hotbin with the rest of the ingredients. I have no idea if this has been the benefit, but it is the first year where I have managed to keep the heat all through the winter! Just thought it worth sharing.
