Bottom of hotbin is cold.

Hi. Although my hotbin is in the green and steaming nicely, the contents at the bottom are cold. Is this right?

Yes.

The bottom is always cooler than the top as all the quick to "burn" content has already been used up, it is not heated from below and the air coming in is at ambient temperature.

That said, i would expect it to be warm.
