No liquid draining but compost bin wet

My 8 month hot bin after working well has stopped draining the waste liquid ! A few flies fly out when I take the blue lid off - I assume it’s blocked but I wonder do I have to totally empty it to start again ?

Hi,

Try tipping it back a bit and pour in some hot water from the kettle. If there is a blockage that might unblock it and it will also kill of any fly larve. Emptying it should be a last resort. Sometimes the bins don't produce much liquid.

Help needed for a similar problem. I fault I have not been draining my hotbin so the contents whilst very warm are very soggy. Should I star again, I have been using the bin since January.
