Black Insects

I get a lot of fruit flies around my compost too. Perhaps the warmth of the HotBin keeps the colonies larger during the cooler months of Autumn and Winter.

Good day. This is my first query since registering. Has anyone noticed small black (winged) insects around their hot bin, mainly the lid?
