Bought my composter a couple of weeks ago and got it started 5 days ago. The temperature is at 25c, which I hope is OK. Started off with some twiggy bits from the garden then added shredded cardboard/paper, kitchen waste, a small amount of grass clippings and some of the bulking agent. Gave it a good stir up. Added the starter bottle and left it for 3 days. Checked the inside temperature then but have since left it alone. I am a keen home gardener and grow some of my own veg. I currently have two green recycle bins which are collected by the Council once a fortnight. I am hoping to reduce to this to one bin in the future once the composter is working well.
