I'm completely new to the HOTbin and interested to see what will happen. For many years I've done compost heaps at allotments. I never bothered to do it right but did get compost after a lot of months. Given up allotments now, I had to think of some other way to make compost at home which didn't attract rats (I know the bin is not rat proof but to my mind there is no reason why it can't be). Looked at lots of composting alternatives and finally decided on the HOTbin as being the best and hopefully the easiest. I've filled it a few times and it's looking promising - lots of steam. I think it will take a bit of getting used to but I'm up for it. Looking forward to sharing thoughts and experiences on the Forum - have already found it useful.
