New to hot bin composting

I'm going to add the first grass cuttings soon. Did you add additional cardboard and paper?

I have had my hot bin going for a couple of months now and am rather obsessed with it according to my daughter! It was ticking over between 50 &70 degrees, I put the first grass cutting in it on Friday and it has been up to 140 since then - I have opened the valve on the top for a couple of hours and I will monitor them temperature. This forum has been a great help setting it up
