Bulking Agent

I have been a Hotbin user for about five years. Could anybody recommend a brand name of a suitable bulking agent that can be purchased from a garden centre.

Hello Brian. some people buy chipped bark for bulking agent and it seems to work.

I got my Hotbin last September and after I had used up the bag that came with the bin I started to 'make' bulking agent. I chop up any woody twigs from the garden and also gather dead wood from local public places with trees - if you select stuff that has started to rot then you can break it up into pieces quite easily and leave it to dry out a bit if its wet before using it. You wont need a huge amount so you wont be doing any harm and in many cases will be clearing stuff that would be cleared by maintenance people or street cleaners. After windy weather is always good!
