Hello, I'm new to this forum, hi everyone! We have been using our hotbin for around a month now with pretty good results, ie average temp of around 50c. We call him Gobbler 😆.

Mine has a name, Uriah.
Despite the new bin and the cold weather he seems to be bubbling along nicely at 40-50 degrees with a deep brown leachate. Fingers crossed.

No I hadn’t named it, -but as it’s located next to my heat pump, which looks like the robots from “Silent Running”, is called “Huey”, you have reminded me of the German Friendship Cake mix that was going round at University, that stuff that ferments before you cook it. We called it Herman, -so Herman the Hotbin….

Brilliant! 😄 Haven't named mine yet but have already started talking about it like a new member of the family so will probably end up giving it a name too...

For some reason they haven't given me a name yet, maybe I should wait.

Anyone else named theirs?
Hi all. Just started my personal HotBin journey and all going well. Up to 55 degrees and all working nicely. Just wondering if anyone else’s bin has been named. Mine seems to have been giving the name Pete. As in Pete the ‘poster. Best said in a Eastend gangster voice. Ridiculous I know but it seems to have stuck.Tags: None
