Hi! I was excited to receive a HOTBIN for Xmas. Just got it yesterday. Spent all day shredding the box 🤣 and anything else I could find! Just been out in the rain collecting twigs that were blown down after lasts nights gales. Can you tell me if it’s ok to use them if they have lichen attached please?

Hello Chris I don't know the answer to your question but hope you are successful. I started my bin just after xmas and it is doing well though I have made an effort to keep it dry and added some chicken pellets which seems to liven it up.

Hi Chris, yes I’d say you’d be fine to add the twigs with the lichen on, maybe cut them up smallish but I wouldn’t have thought the lichen will be a problem at all.
