Wasn't sure where to put this post, but my beautiful cats are a pest sometimes. They use my hotbin as a scratching post (and there are plenty of other scratching facilities nearby). Any advice on keeping my hotbin scratch free other than covering in duck tape? thanks

    Hi Ka6r9en,

I don't have cats myself but I have a colleague that has numerous feline friends, she has recommended a product called Sticky Paws. It is normally used indoors on furniture by might be worth a try. Might make the surface of the bin sticky but should deter them – maybe test it in an inconspicuous area first? Alternatively you could take a look at this link to see the rspb's thoughts on cat deterrents for gardens. Hope this helps.
There are many ways to deter cats from entering your garden and stalking the birds and wildlife within. Find out more here
