Hi all, more of an annoyance than anything else. I’ve had my hotbin for 3 months now and am very happy with it. Able to maintain temperatures >50 degrees at all times and have periods at >60.
However, over the past few days I’ve noticed increasing numbers of fly eggs on the hotbin lip where the lid closes over. I meticulously wipe down every time I add waste but an increasing number of eggs are getting laid every day. I’ve just walked out now to see multiple flies positioned around the lid and had to wipe an egg layer that went round the entire lip.
Am I doing something wrong? Or is this a common issue I just have to deal with?
